What You’ll Do
- Conduct research on ICT systems and analyze new technologies for departmental relevance.
- Evaluate the costs and benefits of implementing new systems.
- Interface with users to understand their requirements and track additional features.
- Analyze risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Recommend ICT systems that would be beneficial for the department.
- Develop and ensure compliance with processes and procedures.
- Manage the collection and analysis of business requirements, including technical design documentation.
- Create flow charts to illustrate operational procedures.
- Oversee the evaluation of existing ICT systems and recommend upgrades.
- Generate reports highlighting efficiencies and improvement areas.
- Manage the performance and development of the sub-directorate team.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Information Technology or a related field.
- Relevant experience at a Junior Management or Assistant Director equivalent level.
- Strong knowledge of project management and IT policies.
- Familiarity with business process modeling and systems development life cycle.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
