What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement policies and strategies for change management and service delivery.
- Coordinate Batho Pele change engagement programmes to ensure community involvement.
- Oversee the implementation of the Employment Equity Plan, promoting awareness and understanding within the department.
- Mainstream issues related to Gender, Disability, Youth, and Children’s Rights into departmental programmes.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of equity initiatives and report on findings.
- Liaise with stakeholders to enhance collaboration on various projects and initiatives.
- Drive the implementation of the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.
- Manage the Sub-Directorate: Special Programmes, ensuring effective operations and outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- A Degree/Advanced Diploma/B-Tech at NQF Level 7 in Public Administration/Management or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least three years at the Assistant Director level.
- A strong understanding of government transformation policies focusing on human rights and equity.
- Knowledge of the Employment Equity Act and related legislation.
- Excellent project management, communication, analytical, and report writing skills.
- Attention to detail and strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
