What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to develop a comprehensive risk profile for the Department.
• Create and implement effective policies, strategies, and frameworks focused on risk management.
• Ensure alignment of risk management processes with the Department’s strategic objectives and business plans.
• Identify capacity gaps in risk management and facilitate training programs to address these gaps.
• Monitor and evaluate adherence to risk management processes across the Department.
• Develop and implement a robust fraud prevention plan.
• Oversee the business continuity function to ensure operational resilience.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Risk Management or Internal Auditing.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in risk management or internal auditing.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong skills in service delivery innovation, problem-solving, and analysis.
• Proficient in people management, client orientation, and communication.
• Familiarity with risk management and auditing practices, as well as the Public Financial Management Act.
• Ability to develop policies and strategies that enhance departmental goals.
