What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and assess strategic plans and operational plans of public entities.
  • Draft forewords and ensure alignment with national priorities and the Estimates of National Expenditure (ENE).
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and reporting for executive heads of entities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports and templates.
  • Engage with stakeholders during strategic planning sessions and communicate performance analysis to the Director.
  • Coordinate mid-year and annual performance review sessions for entities.
  • Provide secretariat support and compile minutes for performance review sessions.
  • Monitor financial resources and contribute to strategic planning and operational execution within the unit.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF level 7 in Business/Public Administration, Economics, or a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of managerial experience in strategic planning and organizational performance management.
  • Proven experience in performance monitoring and reporting for public entities or large organizations.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to draft Annual Performance Plans (APPs).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and the development of performance indicators.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including briefing portfolio and select committees.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of performance information systems.
  • Ability to travel and work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines.
