What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with risk management policies across various departments.
  • Draft comprehensive Bi-annual Assessment Reports to evaluate risk management effectiveness.
  • Facilitate accredited training sessions on risk management practices within the province.
  • Conduct anti-fraud awareness seminars and maintain Corporate Membership with the ACFE for the province.
  • Provide support and guidance to departments on risk management and facilitate Risk Management Committee activities.
  • Promote and report on the Key Control Matrix to enhance risk monitoring and accountability.
  • Manage resources effectively within the Sub-directorate to ensure smooth operations.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 7) in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Membership in the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA) is required.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in developing and implementing risk management systems, with at least three years at a supervisory level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Risk Management Framework (PSRMF), and King IV report.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.
