What You’ll Do
- Manage the operational aspects of the Sub-directorate, ensuring effective demand and acquisition management.
- Oversee the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and bidding processes, including the compilation and publication of bid documents.
- Contribute to the preparation of Interim and Annual Financial Statements, addressing audit findings with actionable plans.
- Ensure effective contract administration and logistics management, including timely supplier payments.
- Supervise staff within the Sub-directorate, implementing processes for performance management and discipline.
- Develop and maintain procedures that ensure proper work control and compliance with supply chain regulations.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in Supply Chain Management or Finance.
- At least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 3 years at a Middle Management level.
- Strong financial, supervisory, and operational management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a working knowledge of LOGIS.
- In-depth understanding of the legislative environment related to government supply chain management.
- Personal attributes that include client orientation, solution-focused mindset, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
