What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the policy development process within the department to align with strategic goals.
  • Provide support in developing, analyzing, and reviewing departmental policies and strategies.
  • Facilitate research capacity for various programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Oversee the implementation and reporting of the departmental research agenda.
  • Assist programs in evaluating their effectiveness and impact.
  • Manage departmental resources effectively and supervise personnel.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or B-Tech at NQF Level 7 in Public Administration or Development Studies.
  • A minimum of five years relevant experience, with at least three years at Assistant Director level.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and spatial implications of growth and development.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, national frameworks, and local governance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and computer literacy.
  • Ability to render advice and guidance while managing conflicts effectively.
