What You’ll Do

  • Exercise oversight on prosecution decisions related to organized crime.
  • Provide necessary legal advice and reports to the Head of the Organised Crime Component.
  • Manage operations and governance within the Money Laundering Component.
  • Analyze and monitor the operational performance of regional offices.
  • Develop strategies for performance improvement and ensure the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of employee performance management systems.
  • Foster stakeholder and partner engagement through regular meetings and presentations.
  • Identify training needs and communicate them to the Training Component.

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB degree or appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors.
  • A minimum of ten years of post-qualification experience in civil and/or criminal litigation.
  • At least five years of experience in criminal procedure and POCA legislation.
  • Right of appearance as per section 25(2) of the NPA Act, 32 of 1998.
  • Strong competency in acting independently, professionally, and with accountability.
  • Excellent advocacy, legal research, and legal drafting skills.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency and a valid driver’s license.
