What You’ll Do

• Manage ICT infrastructure and develop capacity plans aligned with departmental needs.
• Implement policies for server and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor software licenses to maximize usage and reduce unnecessary costs.
• Oversee the management of unified communications systems, including telephone systems.
• Coordinate daily operations and maintenance of network/server infrastructure.
• Ensure the security and functionality of the network infrastructure and applications.
• Manage desktop support services and maintenance of end-user devices.
• Develop and maintain ICT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with professional bodies in the information technology sector for best practices.
• Manage human, financial, and equipment resources effectively.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in ICT, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support at an Assistant Director level.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and Public Service Regulations.
• Familiarity with SLAs and management information systems.
• Understanding of minimum information security standards.
• Ability to conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
