What You’ll Do
- Manage ICT infrastructure and develop capacity plans aligned with departmental needs.
- Implement policies for server and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor software licenses to maximize usage and reduce unnecessary costs.
- Oversee the management of unified communications systems, including telephone systems.
- Coordinate daily operations and maintenance of network/server infrastructure.
- Ensure the security and functionality of the network infrastructure and applications.
- Manage desktop support services and maintenance of end-user devices.
- Develop and maintain ICT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with professional bodies in the information technology sector for best practices.
- Manage human, financial, and equipment resources effectively.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in ICT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support at an Assistant Director level.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and Public Service Regulations.
- Familiarity with SLAs and management information systems.
- Understanding of minimum information security standards.
- Ability to conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
