What You’ll Do
- Manage ICT governance and information security initiatives.
- Implement tools and techniques for enhancing information management.
- Develop processes that align ICT objectives with departmental goals.
- Coordinate IT steering committee meetings and manage associated proceedings.
- Oversee ICT risk management and audit performance.
- Maintain and monitor service level agreements with business units and contractors.
- Lead ICT projects, ensuring adherence to established methodologies.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and conduct necessary research.
- Oversee ICT budget management and procurement processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in ICT support services and practices.
- Manage human, financial, and material resources effectively.
- Compile and coordinate various performance and operational reports.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in ICT or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Support at an Assistant Director level.
- Knowledge of GPG and DPDRT policies, relevant legislation, and Public Service Regulations.
- Certifications in ITIL, COBIT, or Project Management are advantageous.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, analysis, and effective communication, both written and oral.
- A thorough understanding of government ICT procurement processes.
