What You’ll Do
- Manage overall district HR services, ensuring effective HR support and advisory services.
- Oversee the establishment services, including employment and career matters.
- Coordinate housing, leave, pensions, and compensation benefits for employees.
- Maintain the PERSAL registry services and manage the PERSAL Personnel subsystem.
- Direct HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs as well as employee assistance initiatives.
- Lead and monitor all HR-related matters, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement policies, systems, and structures for comprehensive HR service delivery.
- Identify needs for improved HR services and formulate relevant programs and projects.
- Maintain discipline among staff and manage HR performance effectively.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in human resources.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and relevant legislation, especially concerning educators and officials.
- In-depth experience with the PERSAL System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and report writing abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Proven management skills and the capacity to liaise at a high level.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with advanced planning and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- A valid driver’s license.
