What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee all HR services within the district, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide specialized HR support, including advisory services, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Coordinate and manage employee wellness programs, including HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the district’s needs.
  • Maintain the PERSAL Personnel subsystem and manage registry services.
  • Monitor and evaluate HR projects, ensuring they meet organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Ensure discipline is maintained among staff members and manage performance evaluations.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant HR experience in a public sector environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the PERSAL System and HR legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proven management and supervisory skills.
  • Competence in MS Office applications, particularly MS Access.
  • A valid driver’s license.
