What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee learnership, apprenticeship, and internship programs.
- Identify the training needs of the department to align with career development goals.
- Collaborate with branch and line managers to implement structured training.
- Monitor the effectiveness of various training programs and liaise with relevant Sector Education and Training Authorities.
- Administer internal and external bursaries to support employee development.
- Conduct needs analysis to address skills shortages within the department.
- Coordinate succession planning and talent management initiatives.
- Manage the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process and align it with the Human Resource Development plan.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to career development programs.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 6 Diploma/National Diploma or NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Development, Management, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resource Development at an Assistant Director level.
- Valid driver’s license and sound knowledge of HR legislation and policies.
- Strong planning, organizing, presentation, and financial management skills.
- Expertise in project and program management within Human Resource Development.
- Excellent writing skills with keen attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and effective people management.
- Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
