What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the central source of information and guidance on business continuity management.
  • Coordinate routine updates to essential business continuity documentation, including contact lists and inventory schedules.
  • Create and sustain a business continuity plan that mitigates risks to the organization’s crucial activities.
  • Develop and review business continuity policies for the department.
  • Ensure that all technical components of the business continuity plan are tested annually and updated as needed.
  • Train personnel on their specific responsibilities related to business continuity.
  • Plan and coordinate at least one annual simulation exercise involving critical business units.
  • Document results of tests and exercises, recommending enhancements to business continuity procedures.
  • Manage logistical arrangements for meetings and oversee equipment used for executive gatherings.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or related field (NQF Level 6).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business continuity management environment at junior management level.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Business Continuity Standards.
  • Strong leadership, management, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and a valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel.
