What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the delivery of services in the agricultural and agribusiness sectors.
  • Conduct continuous research on agricultural trends and developments.
  • Analyze economic questions and challenges relevant to the agricultural environment.
  • Develop models to reflect current conditions and forecast future scenarios.
  • Compile reports, position papers, and policy documents to inform decision-making.
  • Manage the implementation of trade initiatives and provide strategic advice to stakeholders.
  • Develop, monitor, and evaluate business plans for agribusiness growth.
  • Establish networks for collaboration with agricultural analysis institutions.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to project management and reporting.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 and an NQF Level 8 qualification in Agricultural Economics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years at an Assistant Director level.
  • Advanced skills in computer usage, statistical analysis, and negotiation.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
