What You’ll Do
- Operate the control room security and emergency systems to ensure the safety of NPA premises.
- Monitor and control CCTV cameras to safeguard the facilities.
- Identify, record, and report suspicious incidents promptly.
- Safeguard recorded information and maintain backup footage along with access control records.
- Compile detailed incident reports to document any security breaches or issues.
- Ensure the proper use of control room systems and report any faults or malfunctions.
- Oversee scheduled maintenance and repairs for all security systems and equipment.
- Implement access control measures for NPA building facilities, conducting key audits as necessary.
- Manage the entry and exit of individuals in the control room and maintain accurate control room registers.
- Respond proactively to security emergencies and activate emergency systems as required.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding security matters.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Private Security Regulation Authority (PSIRA) Grade C.
- Strong ability to act independently, professionally, and with credibility.
- A high level of reliability, tolerance, and determination.
- Excellent report writing skills and the capacity to work under pressure.
- General computer literacy, with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with security management in public sector administration (MISS & MPSS documents).
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to work shifts, including after hours and weekends.
