What You’ll Do

• Review and facilitate applications for environmental authorisations and related reports.
• Draft recommendations for enforceable environmental authorisations.
• Evaluate applications for mining activities and provide commentary where necessary.
• Maintain accurate registers of all applications and authorisations processed.
• Facilitate the implementation of Integrated Environmental Management tools.
• Offer specialised technical input and advice on impact management to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform various administrative tasks related to environmental management.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 plus a recognised Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, Environmental Law, or Environmental Sciences.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in Environmental Management, specifically at least 3 years in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Registration with EAPASA as per Section 24H of NEMA.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework and environmental legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and mediate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capability to work under pressure within strict deadlines.
• Experience in project administration and policy analysis.
