What You’ll Do

  • Manage the environmental centre and oversee its daily operations.
  • Implement and manage environmental empowerment programmes and projects in line with the APP.
  • Coordinate with local and municipal stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and capacity building.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control measures and financial resource management.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as directed by your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental education and empowerment.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement programmes that support environmental sustainability and create job opportunities.
  • Knowledge of relevant public service regulatory frameworks and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A valid driver’s licence is essential.
