What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and implement public relations strategies to enhance the department’s image.
• Maintain and execute marketing strategies that promote health services and initiatives.
• Facilitate the dissemination of information on health products and services to the public.
• Organize, promote, and support events and campaigns that engage the community.
• Provide support for community outreach programs and health initiatives.
• Create and manage photography and branding efforts to enhance departmental visibility.
• Write articles for newsletters and various departmental publications to keep the public informed.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus three years of relevant experience, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Journalism, Media Studies, Communication, or Public Relations.
• Proven experience in communication, media monitoring, and analysis.
• Strong communication, liaison, planning, and research skills.
• Familiarity with government communication tools and media analysis methodologies.
• A solid understanding of government programs and current affairs in South Africa.
• Willingness to travel and possess a valid code 8 or 10 driver’s license.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in report writing and presentations.
