What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and implement public relations strategies to enhance the department’s image.
- Maintain and execute marketing strategies that promote health services and initiatives.
- Facilitate the dissemination of information on health products and services to the public.
- Organize, promote, and support events and campaigns that engage the community.
- Provide support for community outreach programs and health initiatives.
- Create and manage photography and branding efforts to enhance departmental visibility.
- Write articles for newsletters and various departmental publications to keep the public informed.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus three years of relevant experience, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Journalism, Media Studies, Communication, or Public Relations.
- Proven experience in communication, media monitoring, and analysis.
- Strong communication, liaison, planning, and research skills.
- Familiarity with government communication tools and media analysis methodologies.
- A solid understanding of government programs and current affairs in South Africa.
- Willingness to travel and possess a valid code 8 or 10 driver’s license.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in report writing and presentations.
