About the Opportunity
Join the Environment & Infrastructure Services Department in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and gain invaluable experience in environmental management and conservation. This programme is designed for unemployed South African youth aged 18 to 35, offering short-term contracts of up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
– Waste Management Youth Graduate: Support sustainable waste management initiatives, conduct audits, and promote recycling.
– Climate Change Youth Graduate: Assist with Climate Action Plan implementation and data collection.
– Air Quality Youth Graduate: Engage in emissions monitoring and compliance assessments.
– Environmental Education & Awareness Youth Graduate: Lead environmental education campaigns and develop awareness materials.
– Biodiversity & Open Space Management Youth Graduate: Provide administrative support and assist with policy development.
– Occupational Health and Safety Compliance Youth Graduate: Implement safety policies and conduct risk assessments.
– Impact Management and Compliance Youth Graduate: Review proposals to ensure environmental compliance.

Requirements/Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Diploma or Degree at NQF Level 6 or 7 in relevant fields such as Environmental Science, Management, or Safety. Strong computer literacy and communication skills are essential.
