What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and engage children and youth upon their admission to the care facility.
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored plans of action for each child.
  • Implement and monitor developmental and recreational programs.
  • Facilitate referrals to professional services as needed.
  • Enhance participation in sports, arts, and cultural programs.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities.
  • Perform various administrative and clerical tasks as required.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification (Senior Certificate or equivalent).
  • A valid Code B (or higher) driving license. Individuals with disabilities who have reasonable access to transport are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of developmental programs and clerical processes.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to effectively intervene in and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Respectful communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven computer literacy.
  • Experience working with children in conflict with the law is advantageous.
