What You’ll Do
- Assist social workers in delivering social work services focused on care, support, and protection.
- Provide administrative support as needed to enhance the efficiency of social work delivery.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in social auxiliary work.
- Help address social instability by assisting in matters that may arise within communities.
- Maintain accurate records and compile reports on social needs and social auxiliary work activities.
What You’ll Need
- Completed Grade 10 and a learnership enabling registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- Current registration with the SACSSP as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- A basic understanding of human behaviour, social issues, and the South African social welfare context.
- Familiarity with the legislation governing social auxiliary work and the South African judicial system.
- Competence in managing information and maintaining precise records while adhering to professional ethics.
