What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support social workers in delivering essential services to vulnerable populations.
- Conduct assessments to identify conditions affecting individuals, families, and communities.
- Plan and develop programs that implement appropriate interventions efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of implemented interventions and provide guidance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Compile court reports and attend court inquiries relating to social work matters.
- Maintain accurate records of social work interventions and outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- A 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work that allows for registration with the SACSSP.
- Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in social work after registration.
- Knowledge of social work legislation, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Competence in project planning and personnel management.
- Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape Government.
