What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and support social workers to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Conduct assessments to identify the needs of individuals and communities.
  • Develop and implement appropriate intervention programs based on assessment findings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance the skills and performance of your team.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and policies relevant to social work.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and community organizations to strengthen service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work that permits registration with the SACSSP.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in social work following registration.
  • A valid Code B driving license (or reasonable access to transport for those with disabilities).
  • Knowledge of social work theories, legislation, and assessment tools.
  • Strong organizational, project planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in two official languages of the Western Cape, along with excellent communication skills.
