What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage the implementation of employee conditions of service and remuneration.
  • Administer pension, housing allowance, and long service benefits.
  • Ensure new employees complete necessary onboarding documentation.
  • Manage employee leave and maintain electronic staff files.
  • Oversee payroll administration and resolve related queries.
  • Prepare reports for management on HR matters to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including advertising vacancies.
  • Develop recruitment plans and ensure timely logistical arrangements for interviews.
  • Facilitate the verification of qualifications for recommended candidates.
  • Maintain a comprehensive recruitment database and manage employee records.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • A minimum of three to five years of functional experience in a human resources environment, with at least two years at salary level 7.
  • Sound knowledge of the PERSAL System and legislative frameworks governing public service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid, unendorsed driver’s licence (an asset).
  • Flexibility, teamwork, customer care skills, and report writing capabilities.
