What You’ll Do
- Assist in designing systems and structures for water services infrastructure.
- Support comprehensive planning for water services projects.
- Manage and oversee technical investigations and developments related to water infrastructure.
- Conduct inspections and tests on equipment and installations, preparing detailed reports on findings.
- Review and provide feedback on operation and maintenance plans for water services in the region.
- Compile and comment on contract documentation, proposals, and tenders.
- Coordinate water services planning within the region.
- Manage financial allocations for projects and programs.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to staff and stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
- An Engineering (B Eng./BSc Eng.) Degree or relevant qualification.
- Six years of post-qualification experience.
- Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Water Act and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strong understanding of project and financial management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and self-motivation.
