What You’ll Do

• Assist in designing systems and structures for water services infrastructure.
• Support comprehensive planning for water services projects.
• Manage and oversee technical investigations and developments related to water infrastructure.
• Conduct inspections and tests on equipment and installations, preparing detailed reports on findings.
• Review and provide feedback on operation and maintenance plans for water services in the region.
• Compile and comment on contract documentation, proposals, and tenders.
• Coordinate water services planning within the region.
• Manage financial allocations for projects and programs.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to staff and stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• An Engineering (B Eng./BSc Eng.) Degree or relevant qualification.
• Six years of post-qualification experience.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
• A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Water Act and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
• Strong understanding of project and financial management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and self-motivation.
