What You’ll Do

• Oversee technical services and support across field, workshop, and district activities within the mechanical discipline.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and complex diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead Artisan Foremen and technical personnel, managing resources and assets effectively.
• Develop technical procedures and operational plans, contributing to budget compilations.
• Monitor expenditure and promote efficient resource utilization.
• Provide senior technical advice and support, while managing staff performance and development.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and coordinate technical meetings at district levels.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• A valid driver’s license.
• An appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Diesel Mechanical.
• At least ten years of experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman in relevant trades.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience in maintenance of vehicles, heavy vehicles, and construction plant or earthmoving equipment.
• Strong project management and technical diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory compliance and technical report writing.
