What You’ll Do
- Oversee technical services and support across field, workshop, and district activities within the mechanical discipline.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and complex diagnostics.
- Ensure compliance with technical, safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Artisan Foremen and technical personnel, managing resources and assets effectively.
- Develop technical procedures and operational plans, contributing to budget compilations.
- Monitor expenditure and promote efficient resource utilization.
- Provide senior technical advice and support, while managing staff performance and development.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and coordinate technical meetings at district levels.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- A valid driver’s license.
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Diesel Mechanical.
- At least ten years of experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman in relevant trades.
- Two years of supervisory experience required.
- Experience in maintenance of vehicles, heavy vehicles, and construction plant or earthmoving equipment.
- Strong project management and technical diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory compliance and technical report writing.
