What You’ll Do

  • Recommend Trade Test Registration leaves and manage the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) for registrations.
  • Ensure compliant candidates are registered and provide confirmation of trade test dates.
  • Advise applicants and stakeholders on registration processes and qualifications.
  • Extract files for investigations, validations, and audits.
  • Handle inquiries regarding trade test registration, dates, certificates, and results via phone, in-person, or email.
  • Consolidate and submit monthly statistics to the Assistant Director.
  • Verify applications for certificates before submission to the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB).
  • Prepare and submit invoices to Supply Chain Management for processing.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Public Management or a related qualification; a degree is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Good knowledge of the Skills Development Act 1998, Trade Test Regulations, and Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) guidelines.
  • Familiarity with the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) and Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong report writing, planning, organizing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
