About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you’ll support the Disaster Management Division in various capacities, including:
– Providing administrative and logistical support
– Assisting in incident and disaster response
– Compiling and coordinating disaster management reports
– Engaging with stakeholders and implementing risk reduction initiatives
– Supporting communication and training initiatives

Requirements/Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must possess:
– A National Diploma or relevant qualification in Disaster Management
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GIS applications
– Effective communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
– Good physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions
– A valid Code B driver’s licence is recommended
