About the Role

What You’ll Do
- Handle complaints lodged with the Commission according to established procedures.
- Develop and implement fast-track procedures for resolving client complaints.
- Review and recommend improvements to complaints handling systems for efficiency.
- Conduct both proactive and reactive investigations, providing detailed reports.
- Maintain and update the database and tracking system for complaints.
- Monitor compliance with turnaround times, submitting weekly reports on any delays.
- Ensure complainants are regularly informed of reference numbers and progress.
- Implement methodologies for screening and analyzing complaints.
- Categorize complaints and identify those suitable for investigation or referral.
- Assess complaints for potential referral to higher authorities or other institutions.
- Identify complaints that are suitable for alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
- Coordinate ADR processes, ensuring consistency in documentation and outcomes.
- Record statistics on the number and nature of complaints resolved through ADR.
- Produce progress reports on work completed as required.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the manager.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economic Science, or Law.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an investigation and enforcement environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for effective complaint screening and investigation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with complainants and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
