What You’ll Do

• Identify and research the needs and challenges within the tourist guiding sector, proposing practical solutions.
• Conduct consultations and capture stakeholder feedback to inform sector development.
• Prepare project plans and proposals to address skills shortages in the industry.
• Coordinate and supervise project activities, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems for all projects.
• Develop tracking reports for beneficiaries and recommend improvements based on findings.
• Research legislation and compliance requirements relevant to the tourism sector.
• Prepare communication materials, including submissions and presentations, for stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Need

• A recognized NQF Level 6 qualification in Tourism Management or equivalent (e.g., Project Management, Public Management).
• 3-4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years at a senior practitioner level.
• Knowledge of the tourism and tourist guiding sector is an advantage.
• Proficiency in report compilation, data analysis, and quality work production.
• Strong project management, financial management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with problem-solving aptitude.
• A valid code 08 driver’s license is required; exceptions may apply for candidates with disabilities.
