What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement strategies for professional development in the tourism sector.
- Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive stakeholder database.
- Facilitate secretariat responsibilities for various engagements and meetings.
- Coordinate continued professional development initiatives and programs.
- Establish working groups or task teams to ensure effective implementation of skills programs.
- Provide regular progress reports on professional development initiatives.
- Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) for partnerships.
- Collaborate with relevant bodies to introduce Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) systems within tourism.
- Monitor and ensure quality assurance of documents from service providers.
What You’ll Need
- A recognised NQF 6 qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, Tourism Management, or Human Resource Development.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years at a senior practitioner level.
- Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, financial delegations, and project management.
- Familiarity with the Skills Development Act and professionalisation processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities, along with creative thinking.
- Proven facilitation and leadership skills.
- A valid driver’s licence; candidates with disabilities that prevent driving will be considered.
