What You’ll Do
- Oversee the receipt and management of all goods and services to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Allocate and manage warehouse items effectively according to departmental policies.
- Capture and process all received goods and services to maintain accurate records.
- Distribute goods and services to relevant stakeholders in line with established protocols.
- Monitor and compile reports on goods and services usage, focusing on financial performance.
- Implement and enhance the institutional supply chain management system to meet legislative requirements.
- Supervise staff to ensure compliance with supply chain management standards.
- Develop cost-effective supply chain strategies to improve efficiency.
- Manage the quotation processes and contracts with suppliers, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Maintain strong control systems for departmental assets to minimize losses and misuse.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate along with a relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Public Management, Logistics, or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years of related supervisory experience in supply chain management.
- LOGIS Certificates are essential for this role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SCM in the public sector, including PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in the LOGIS system and computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with good managerial abilities.
