What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and facilitate comprehensive Employee Health and Wellness programmes.
  • Conduct workplace health risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage occupational health and safety programmes across the district.
  • Support line management in addressing ill-health related absenteeism.
  • Facilitate Occupational Health and Safety legal appointments.
  • Organise safety awareness campaigns and health promotion initiatives.
  • Implement programmes to enhance employee wellbeing and performance.
  • Represent the department at the Waterberg District AIDS Council forum.
  • Manage the coordination and administration of COIDA in the district.
  • Lead sports and bereavement programmes within the district.
  • Oversee the administration of Occupational Injuries and Diseases.
  • Facilitate and coordinate social club activities to foster community spirit.
  • Manage financial, human, and physical resources in compliance with relevant legislation.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Social and Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Health Nursing, Environmental Health, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Professional registration with SACSSP, HPCSA, SANC, or a relevant statutory body.
  • Three years of experience in the Employee Health & Wellness field at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, with exceptions made for persons with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Employee Health and Wellness policies, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related legislation.
  • Strong skills in communication, financial management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and facilitate effectively, with a focus on teamwork and monitoring outcomes.
