What You’ll Do

  • Manage and monitor the implementation of service benefits such as leave allowances and medical assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation in human resource management.
  • Conduct information sharing sessions to educate staff on service benefits and conditions.
  • Oversee the management of the Policy on Incapacity Leave and Ill-Health Retirement (PILIR).
  • Facilitate the service termination process and conduct exit interviews.
  • Manage disclosures related to remunerative work outside the public service.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma or Degree (NQF6) in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Service Conditions and Benefits.
  • Familiarity with managing the Policy on Incapacity Leave and the service termination process.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resource Management legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to manage change effectively.
  • Experience with the PERSAL system will be advantageous.
