What You’ll Do

  • Conduct cost-benefit and risk-return assessments for the government’s property portfolio.
  • Visit building sites to evaluate and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Analyze property indicators, market trends, and client needs to inform investment strategies.
  • Perform property investment analysis and life cycle costing for new constructions and refurbishments.
  • Assess financial and socio-economic benefits of various investment/disinvestment options.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to formulate proactive strategies for optimal portfolio management.
  • Provide guidance on feasibility studies and make recommendations for investments and disinvestments.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to compile feasibility study reports within set time frames.
  • Prepare executive reports and presentations for stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Commerce, Property Economics, or Real Estate Finance.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in portfolio and property investment analysis.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and property industry-related financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of the built environment and applicable government legislation.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and project management skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and good time management skills.
  • Personal attributes such as dependability, innovation, and the ability to work under pressure.
