The Department of Agriculture is seeking a skilled Assistant Director: PLAS Management Accounting Systems based in Pretoria, Gauteng. What You’ll Do
- Provide operational access and enhancements to financial systems.
- Support end-users with first-level assistance and training.
- Maintain master data including project setups and chart of accounts.
- Manage 54 public financial and operational systems effectively.
- Log technical issues with service providers and coordinate resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with change control procedures.
- Develop reports and specifications, delivering them to end-users punctually.
- Oversee the implementation of new projects and system enhancements.
- Monitor developer accounts in line with approved contracts and agreements.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Financial Information Systems/Informatics or a related qualification (NQF Level 6).
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a system administration or management environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act, and Treasury Regulations.
- Strong supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
- Problem-solving abilities to address system-related challenges.
