What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage provincial occupational therapy services to ensure quality and compliance with health strategies.
• Develop, implement, and review occupational therapy policies, guidelines, and standards.
• Oversee the management of resources, including budget preparation and procurement of specialized equipment.
• Supervise and support occupational therapy staff, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
• Coordinate training initiatives and student placements to enhance staff capacity and service delivery.
• Collaborate with hospitals, health offices, and educational institutions to promote integrated services.
• Monitor key performance indicators and compile reports for senior management to evaluate service effectiveness.
• Ensure that service delivery adheres to quality standards and customer service principles per Batho Pele.

What You’ll Need

• A Matric certificate and a qualification allowing registration with HPCSA in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with HPCSA in Occupational Therapy (valid for 2026/2027).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience after HPCSA registration, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
• A valid vehicle driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of health policies and regulations.
• Excellent strategic planning, project, and financial management skills.
• Outstanding communication, analytical, and computer literacy skills.
