What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the development of infrastructure funding frameworks and long-term planning.
  • Collaborate with National Treasury and relevant departments to develop business plans for municipal infrastructure grants.
  • Facilitate the review of infrastructure projects to assess spending and justification.
  • Provide inputs on provincial infrastructure plans and budgets to public entities.
  • Develop procurement strategies and delivery management arrangements for infrastructure projects.
  • Support the maintenance and optimal utilization of infrastructure assets by municipalities.
  • Conduct research and evaluations to identify suitable service delivery models for the province.
  • Assist with the implementation of contract management in collaboration with municipalities.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 7 qualification in Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Infrastructure Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience at a supervisory level or as a Senior/Admin Officer within monitoring infrastructure projects or programmes.
  • Knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) is essential.
  • Experience with budget processes will be an added advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license is required (except for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong skills in project management, financial analysis, communication, and stakeholder management.
