What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain ICT systems to support public service functions
  • Gather and analyse requirements for IT application systems
  • Manage systems development projects from initiation to completion
  • Collaborate with vendors to secure source code and access keys
  • Maintain comprehensive systems and licence registers
  • Assist the Deputy Director: Applications and Systems in identifying software needs for procurement and development

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 6 or 7 qualification in Software Development, IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in ICT Applications and Systems Development, with at least three years in a supervisory role
  • Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for people with disabilities)
  • Strong skills in people management, planning, organisation, and time management
  • Knowledge of public service legislation and ICT prescripts
  • Proficiency in project management, negotiation, communication, and leadership
