What You’ll Do

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including lights, plugs, and distribution boards.
• Manage tools, equipment, and stock control efficiently.
• Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical installations and equipment.
• Assist in new installation tasks and expand existing electrical services as needed.
• Support the Artisan foreman and Chief Artisan in supervising and training subordinates.
• Maintain logbooks and assist in compiling specifications for electrical projects.
• Oversee maintenance of UPS systems and generators, ensuring reliability.
• Participate in general substation maintenance activities.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate Trade Test Certificate in the Electrical field.
• For Grade A: No experience required.
• For Grade B: At least 18 years of relevant experience post-certification.
• For Grade C: At least 34 years of relevant experience post-certification.
• A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Readiness to be available after hours and perform standby duties.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 and its relevant regulations.
• Strong fault-finding skills in electrical equipment and installations.
