What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director in strategic planning and audit activity scheduling
  • Develop clear audit objectives that address risk controls and governance processes
  • Create and implement audit procedures tailored to achieve engagement objectives
  • Submit audit programs for review prior to commencing assignments
  • Plan and monitor project timelines to ensure quality and staff development
  • Analyze audit findings to present conclusions and results at exit conferences
  • Maintain compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards through a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program
  • Conduct regular audits on financial controls, compliance, and performance information

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) or a National Diploma in Auditing/Accounting
  • Internal Audit Technician (IAT) certification
  • Relevant experience of at least three years as a senior internal auditor or auditor
  • Knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards and Public Finance Management Act
  • Proficient in computer literacy and advanced communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
