What You’ll Do

• Provide technical advice and support for greening programmes and forestry initiatives.
• Promote and facilitate partnerships to ensure long-term commitment to forestry projects.
• Coordinate and implement the Ten Million Trees Programme and other greening initiatives.
• Support the development of business plans and secure funding for enterprise and livelihood projects.
• Integrate forestry development into local, provincial, and national government initiatives.
• Participate in rural development and urban renewal programmes.
• Manage and support forestry greening campaigns, including Arbor Month activities.

What You’ll Need

• National Diploma (NQ6) in Forestry, Developmental Studies, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in Forestry or a related field.
• Knowledge of the National Forests Act and the National Veld and Forest Fire Act.
• Understanding of government business practices, policies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, and analyze information.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
