What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the collection and recording of revenue, ensuring compliance with relevant prescripts.
  • Monitor and review banking processes and reconciliations to uphold financial integrity.
  • Manage debt collection processes, liaising with debtors to establish payback conditions.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Supervise and guide employees to deliver effective financial accounting services.
  • Verify and authorize transfer payments and subsidies in line with budget provisions.
  • Conduct quality assurance and verification of all financial transactions.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant qualification in financial management at NQF level 7.
  • At least 3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a financial environment.
  • Knowledge of the IPID Act, Public Service Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and internal control systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with budget processes.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
