What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic leadership for value chain development initiatives.
• Identify, develop, and support priority value chains aligned with economic priorities.
• Design and implement interventions to enhance market access for MSMEs.
• Facilitate partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders.
• Oversee collaboration with various sector departments and industry bodies.
• Monitor the performance of value chain projects, ensuring effective implementation.
• Manage the directorate’s budget and resources in compliance with financial regulations.
• Lead and guide officials within the directorate to ensure effective delivery.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Economics, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, Business Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at a middle or senior managerial level in Value Chain Support and Market Access.
• A compulsory pre-entry certificate into the Senior Management Service from the National School of Government.
• Strong competencies in Strategic Capability & Leadership, Financial Management, and Problem Solving.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-oriented approach.
