What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership for value chain development initiatives.
- Identify, develop, and support priority value chains aligned with economic priorities.
- Design and implement interventions to enhance market access for MSMEs.
- Facilitate partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders.
- Oversee collaboration with various sector departments and industry bodies.
- Monitor the performance of value chain projects, ensuring effective implementation.
- Manage the directorate’s budget and resources in compliance with financial regulations.
- Lead and guide officials within the directorate to ensure effective delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Economics, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at a middle or senior managerial level in Value Chain Support and Market Access.
- A compulsory pre-entry certificate into the Senior Management Service from the National School of Government.
- Strong competencies in Strategic Capability & Leadership, Financial Management, and Problem Solving.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-oriented approach.
