What You’ll Do

  • Collect and record revenue, including managing cashier and banking services.
  • Monitor and review procedures for the safekeeping of all funds, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the accurate allocation and collection of debts owed to the department.
  • Liaise with debtors on complex cases to establish payback conditions.
  • Ensure proper banking procedures are followed and bank reconciliations are conducted accurately.
  • Supervise the verification and quality assurance of payroll transactions.
  • Manage expenditure to ensure alignment with budgetary requirements.
  • Compile interim and annual financial reports on conditional grants.
  • Support the training and development of team members to enhance performance and service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Financial Management at NQF Level 7.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and support a team effectively.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and develop corrective measures as needed.
