What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the demand and acquisition management system within the department.
  • Ensure timely approval and authorization of quotations, RFPs, and tenders.
  • Compile and submit monthly SCM reports to the Deputy Director.
  • Monitor and facilitate requests for quotations and tenders to ensure compliance with SCM policies.
  • Maintain and update the SCM tracking tool to align with bid process timeframes.
  • Provide inputs for SCM policy reviews and respond to audit queries.
  • Develop and implement SCM operational plans while mentoring and training staff.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Demand and Acquisition, with 3 years at a Senior Officer level.
  • An NQF level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
  • High level of analytical skills and a commitment to high-quality work.
