What You’ll Do

  • Manage the development and implementation of a targeted provincial consumer awareness strategy.
  • Coordinate the escalation of unresolved complaints to the Consumer Protector and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Provide guidance to district offices on protocols for complaint escalation.
  • Develop and maintain an effective administration system for managing consumer protection initiatives.
  • Supervise administrative functions and related activities.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma NQF level 6 in Consumer Science, Consumer Affairs, Law, or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience at a supervisory level or SL7/8.
  • Knowledge of the Eastern Cape Consumer Protection Act and the Consumer Protection Act.
  • Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act and Public Service Act.
  • Strong problem analysis, communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizing abilities.
  • Proficient report writing skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
