What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and review the capturing of all physical assets in management registers.
  • Perform quality control and allocation of movable assets, including barcoding.
  • Capture and maintain asset information and inventory lists for asset holders.
  • Oversee compliance with asset management policies and procedures.
  • Compile reports on the state of assets and fleet performance.
  • Supervise a team, ensuring adherence to policies and effective performance management.
  • Manage departmental fleet operations in accordance with transport policies.
  • Implement secure document management systems aligned with regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to asset management and fleet usage.
  • Contribute to policy development and offer guidance on best practices.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant tertiary qualification at NQF level 7 in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport, or Asset Management.
  • 3-5 years of related asset management and transport management experience at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of LOGIS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Transport Management frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication abilities and a commitment to quality and integrity.
  • Computer literacy and a client service orientation.
