What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the chief directorate.
- Plan, organize, and oversee administrative activities and processes.
- Consolidate and prepare quarterly reports for submission to the Strategic Planning unit.
- Manage the flow of documents and ensure efficient information exchange within the department.
- Administer finances and coordinate procurement activities for the chief directorate.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of the budget, including MTEF submissions.
- Provide secretariat support by coordinating meetings, including timely submission of minutes and agendas.
- Manage human and physical resources, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and an NQF 6 qualification in Office Administration, Public Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ supervisory experience in Office Administration (salary level 8).
- Strong understanding of government policies and departmental regulations.
- Proficient in financial policies as guided by Treasury Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
